I'm Dr. Carolynn Francavilla,

Together, we’ll use science to help you take control of your health.

Dr. Carolynn Francavilla is a board-certified physician and obesity medicine specialist providing expert virtual medical weight loss and menopause care for patients across Colorado. Through Metabolic & More, she helps patients navigate GLP-1 medications, obesity treatment, perimenopause and menopause symptoms, metabolic health, insulin resistance, and long-term weight management through personalized physician-led care and strategic health coaching.

Dr. Francavilla has developed a deep understanding of the physiologic reasons people struggle to lose weight—and that struggle has nothing to do with willpower. Weight regulation is driven by complex biology, including hormones, metabolism, insulin resistance, appetite signaling, genetics, sleep, menopause, medications, and other underlying factors. These biologic drivers vary from person to person, which is why effective care requires an individualized approach rather than generic advice or self-blame.

As a nationally recognized expert in obesity medicine and the 2025 Obesity Medicine Association Clinician of the Year, Dr. Francavilla combines medical expertise with practical coaching to help patients achieve sustainable results—not quick fixes. Her practice focuses on medical weight loss, hormone and menopause support, metabolic optimization, behavior change, and comprehensive midlife health care.

Patients work directly with Dr. Francavilla through a high-touch virtual care model that blends expert medical management with accountability, education, and personalized coaching—designed for busy adults seeking lasting transformation in their weight, energy, metabolic health, and menopause journey.

Metabolic & More is ideal for patients who want more than a prescription—offering comprehensive support for weight loss, menopause symptom management, metabolic health optimization, and healthy aging in Colorado.

The Metabolic & More Story

On the third day of my third year of medical school, my grandfather died of a heart attack.

He was my favorite person in the world.

My grandfather had a rare gift: he made everyone feel like they mattered. He could strike up a conversation with anyone, tell a story that had the whole room laughing, and make you feel like you were the most important person he’d met that day.

He had also lived with metabolic disease for years.

Even then, the physician in me understood the medical reality. He had diabetes for many years and had already undergone open-heart surgery when I was a child. His death made clinical sense.

But it didn’t feel inevitable.

That experience shaped me profoundly. It became one of the reasons I dedicated my career to helping people address the root causes of metabolic disease before they lead to life-changing—or life-ending—consequences.

At Metabolic & More, that mission comes to life.

My work combines preventive medicine, obesity medicine, lifestyle intervention, and evidence-based medical treatment to help patients improve metabolic health, prevent or reverse diabetes when possible, reduce cardiovascular risk, and ultimately live longer, healthier lives.

The symbol of Metabolic & More is the dandelion, and that choice is deeply personal.

As a child, I picked every dandelion I could find, closed my eyes, blew the seeds into the wind, and made the same wish every time: that my grandfather would never die.

Today, the dandelion means something different—but equally powerful.

Metabolic disease rarely exists in isolation. Weight, insulin resistance, diabetes, inflammation, cardiovascular disease, sleep apnea, fatty liver disease, and hormonal changes are often deeply interconnected. When we treat the underlying metabolic dysfunction, the benefits can ripple outward—just like dandelion seeds carried by the wind.

That is the vision behind Metabolic & More: care that creates meaningful change not just for today, but for the years ahead.

Live longer. Live better.
